Asset Management Engineers Pty Ltd (AME) was established to provide cost effective Asset Management Consultancy Services, including Classified Plant Management, to multiple industries such as Mining, Oil and Gas and Manufacturing.
We are currently seeking Classified Plant Inspectors to join our Professional team located in our new offices based in Belmont, Perth.
The Classified Plant Inspector is responsible for conducting inspections, audits and reviews at various sites within Australia and to write corresponding reports. Many of these sites are mines and are located in remote areas.
The Classified Plant Inspector is required to provide high levels of customer service and in addition promote the company services at all times

Essential Criteria:
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years post apprenticeship experience in a continuous process industry, mining or a heavy industry maintenance environment.
- Experienced Mechanical Engineer or Mechanical Tradesperson.
- Knowledge of and the ability to understand and interpret Mines Safety and Inspection Regulations 1995 and the Mines Safety Inspection Act 1994, Occupational Health and Safety Act & Regulations 1996.
- Computer literate - MS Office Suite Word and Excel (Minimum Intermediate Level).
- Sound mechanical knowledge of fixed and mobile plant.
- Ability to conduct and interpret NDT i.e. Ultrasonic, Dye Penetrant, Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI)
- Competent at understanding and interpreting the relevant Australian Standards.
- Commitment to and knowledge of Quality Management principles.
- Ability to travel to remote locations for various durations.
- Inspection experience will be highly regarded.
- Trade Certification - Mechanical.
- Degree in Engineering.
- AICIP - In Service Inspection Training.
- Proven skills in communication, negotiation and problem solving techniques.
- Practical knowledge of installation, maintenance and standard operating procedures for plant and equipment used in industry.
- Excellent initiative and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
